Parker just turned 8! We had a great time with his birthday this year. Aunt Nicole and Uncle Jake came up and had dinner with us. It's nice that we have some family close enough to party with us. Also, Nicole took all of the pictures for us (I couldn't find my camera- and her photography skills are way better than mine). Per Parker's request we grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for his birthday dinner. It was a little cold out side for running the grill, but Brett was a champ and went out and fired up the grill for the first time this year (most of the snow was melted outside!). After dinner we ate cake and ice cream and then went down stairs and broke out the wii. We played Parker's new game and had a blast! Their were a few minor injuries :) (sorry Nicole) but nothing that stopped us from playing.
A couple of days later we had Parker's "friend" birthday party. We went to the Fun Park. I can't think of a better place to take 8 - eight year old boys! They had a great time playing in the soft play and earning tickets at the video games. Everyone went home tired and sweaty and with a few prizes. I'm pretty sure that those are the indicators of a successful party!
