So, Monday morning we woke up to about 8 inches of new snow. We were expecting snow, but not quite that much! If you are familiar with our house and drive way, you know that is a really big deal! Brett was able to get the driveway cleared before he went to work (otherwise I don't think I would have made it down the driveway!). I bundled Casadie off and sent her to the bus stop and then Savanna, Parker and I left for school. This year I am driving a mini van instead of the jeep, so it doesn't handle quite as well in the snow. I was a little worried about the roads so we left earlier then usual so that we would have plenty of time to make it to school. I was telling Savanna that where I lived when I was a kid this would have definitely constituted a snow day (we never get snow days in Utah!). About 4 blocks from the house I was waiting to make a left hand turn when I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a car sliding towards me. I knew he was going to hit me and I tried to move out of the way, but he still hit us! Luckily no one was hurt (except the new car!)! It was some 18 year old kid and he had the audacity to ask me to drive him to his girlfriends house instead of waiting for the police. I didn't. We waited for the Sherriff, the entire process took about an hour. Our car came out looking much better then the other car (way to go Honda). They had to tow his away, our has about $1000 worth of damage. The sad thing is that we still have temporary plates on the car!

We ended up with a grand total of 19 inches of Snow! Other then the car disaster, everyone had alot of fun with the new snow (the day before the last of the snow had melted!)

The snow was so deep that the dog couldn't even make it off the back deck without getting lost! Parker and Casadie had a great time making snow angels!

Sorry to hear about the car, that stinks. But the snow sure looks fun!
