New Job!

I have finally finished up all of my requirments for my Ameri-Corps contract. Although the last two years (3400 hours) have been challenging, it's been a rewarding experience. I was honored at the Utah Commission on Volunteers Service Conference and presented with the Presidential Service Award last month.

Next year I will be moving on to new and exciting things! I will be teaching P.E. at Parker's Elementary School. I guess if I wasn't motivated to get into shape before I definitely am now!

Savanna's 15!

Savanna is 15! I can hardly believe it. I can remember my 15th birthday like it was yesterday! How can it be that my baby girls is 15 already! We celebrated this year with family. Aunt Lesa was here from Oregon and Aunt Nicole and Uncle Jake came over to help us celebrate!

Soccer in the Spring

I'm not sure why we play soccer in the spring in Utah, I'd be willing to sign a petition to change it to the fall, our weather is just so unpredictable. Last Saturday Casadie's game began with rain that changed into sleet and finally ended up as snow. They didn't end up calling the game until 2/3 of the way through. Her toes and ears were frozen, her pony-tail dripping and her shirt soaked! I wasn't quite the die-hard fan and I watched most of the game from the comfort of the car! Yesterday both kids played in the rain. Not a light drizzle, the pouring rain. Even with my umbrella I was soaked! The kids were real troopers and never complained. Casadie scored 3 goals in her game. Way to go Casadie!

Can I Have a Pig?

This is a persuasive letter that Parker wrote at school. It was signed Love your son, Parker. I'm not sure where the desire to have a pig came from (he does like bacon), but I thought the letter was really fun! Needless to say, we are not getting a pig!

Cheese Cake

I had to take a dessert to a dinner party that we went to last week. I've had this recipe from a Taste of Home magazine for about 5 years and decided that now was the time to try it out! I was really please with how pretty it looked and how tasty it was!
