Soccer in the Spring

I'm not sure why we play soccer in the spring in Utah, I'd be willing to sign a petition to change it to the fall, our weather is just so unpredictable. Last Saturday Casadie's game began with rain that changed into sleet and finally ended up as snow. They didn't end up calling the game until 2/3 of the way through. Her toes and ears were frozen, her pony-tail dripping and her shirt soaked! I wasn't quite the die-hard fan and I watched most of the game from the comfort of the car! Yesterday both kids played in the rain. Not a light drizzle, the pouring rain. Even with my umbrella I was soaked! The kids were real troopers and never complained. Casadie scored 3 goals in her game. Way to go Casadie!

Dear Casadie,
You make a cute socker player.
I'm glad this game was not in the snow. Even though it was raining.
Glad you made some good goals.
Love you Grandma

CAsadie, how you are growing up. Wish we could be there to enjoy the games with you and your family. Thank you for your great drawings and letters. We love them. Please keep sending them. Love, Grandma and Grandpa Sleight

I love and hate spring soccer. I am amazed that the kids love it regardless of the weather. I on the other hand, love sitting in the car.
