Spring Break

For our Spring Break this year we took a couple of days and went to Bear Lake. Although it was the off season, we still had a fun time. We played games, watched movies and did a lot of swimming. We took one day and went to Paris Idaho and checked out the Historical Sleight Family Cabin. This was built by my great great grandfather when he settled the Bear Lake Valley.

Easter Chick Pops

We love Bakerella! This Easter we tried out hand at making Easter Chicks. We got the whole family involved and had a little assembly line going. Everyone had a job to do and I think they turned out pretty cute!

Savanna's Room Update

I feel like I haven't been very fair to Savanna and that I need to her room progress. I found that what worked the best was the threat of losing her cell phone! I threatened to take it away and give it to her sister and that was a pretty big motivator for her. She managed to get it cleaned up that same night and has done a "pretty" decent job of keeping it picked up since. Way to go Savanna!

Employee Of The Year

Ok, this is embarrassing and I'm not bragging, but I've taken a lot of grief over the fact that I haven't blogged about this, so here goes! In February I was awarded Ellis School Employee of the year. It really was a huge honor. I've never received an award like this before so it was really kind of exciting. I received the award at a School Board meeting in front of my family and coleagues. I didn't think that I wanted to teach school, but I've found myself working with children for almost 10 years. So here goes... yeah me!

Parker's Baptism Day

Parker turned 8 this month and was baptized. We are so proud of him and of his decision to get baptized. On the 28th, surrounded by friends and family, Brett was able to baptize Parker. I can hardly believe how grown up my baby is. I know that this is just the beginning of many great things to come.
